It’s tricky meeting the demands of an artistic temperament. We gave each of the artists their own style of catalogue for each exhibition – experimenting with interesting textures and finishes, all to a very, very strict budget. Our challenge was to maintain a discreet gallery brand presence on each one. When promoting the works of an artist, getting the colour and tonal qualities of their work spot on was essential, so we spent a long time making sure everyone was happy with the result before, during and while on press.
